Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is officially saved!

It has recently been reported that the Noarlunga Aquatic Centres could potentially close if urgent repairs needed to the building, roof and filtrations system were not funded. It is disappointing that this facility has been left in such a poor condition.

However, thanks to the Albanese Government’s Thriving Suburbs Program, Amanda Rishworth has secured a $5.4 million investment to fund these essential repairs to the facility. The Federal Government’s funding will ensure that the Noarlunga Aquatic Centre remains a hub for families, swimmers, school education and community groups for years to come.

What does this mean for you?

  • Cleaner, safer water with a brand-new pump and filtration system
  • Structural repairs including a new roof to keep us all safe and dry
  • Solar panels to reduce the centre’s energy costs and boost sustainability
  • New pool lining to improve water quality and reduce maintenance costs
  • Upgraded amenities making the centre more modern, accessible, and welcoming for all users

Without this action, the Centre faced closure. But the Albanese Labor Government’s investment changes everything. It means the Council can tackle these challenges head-on and ensure the Aquatic Centre continues to be an important leisure and fitness resource for our community.

This Federal Government funding secures the future of the Centre – keeping it open and ready to serve generations to come. Amanda will also fight to ensure it remains affordable to visit the Centre.
