Delivering Fee-Free TAFE

Friday, 12 April 2024

Amanda believes that investing in the capabilities of our people is essential to boost productivity, grow our economy and get wages moving again. Investing in skills can change lives and provide better employment outcomes within our community.

In March, Amanda visited Noarlunga TAFE and spoke to students who are currently enrolled in Fee-Free courses. Amanda was excited to see these students take up the opportunity to train in courses leading to career pathways in secure paid employment.

Fee-Free TAFE courses remove financial barriers, making vocational training and TAFE more accessible for more students, apprentices, and trainees to enter more secure, well-paid careers.

Last year, 13,790 students in South Australia enrolled in Fee-Free TAFE. The Albanese Labor Government is making an additional 300,000 Fee-Free TAFE places available over the next three years.
