On track to reopen for the Summer season, the Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is currently undergoing a generational refurbishment and upgrade, but it has a chance to be even better.
Working with the community, the Noarlunga Aquatic Centre was saved from closure after Amanda secured two key grants totalling nearly $7 million. Now Amanda needs your support again.
City of Onkaparinga Council is considering using the savings made during the construction process to build an outdoor water playground, or ‘splash pad’ as part of the upgrade.
Importantly, adding a splash pad would not delay the opening of the centre.
The aquatic centre upgrade is already a major investment for our community, and the addition of an outdoor water playground would make it a complete, family-friendly facility, filling the gap of an accessible outdoor water play option in the Southern Suburbs.
