2024 will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France on 6 June 1944. These operations were the culmination of years of planning and preparation, as well as the first step in the Allied Liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II.
The 25th of April marks the anniversary of when Australian and New Zealand forces landed on Gallipoli during World War I. The Anzac spirit is affiliated with qualities of courage, mateship and endurance, which are values we still hold dearly today.
On Anzac Day, we remember all Australian and New Zealanders who served, were wounded, or made the ultimate sacrifice in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. We pay our respects to their bravery and commitment.
