Many locals have reached out to Amanda during this difficult time to ask how they can help others in the community.
That is why Amanda has adapted her Winter Appeal to make it as easy as possible for the community to contribute while maintaining social distancing.
Rather than collecting canned goods this year, Amanda is collecting supermarket and grocery gift cards.
If you are able to help or are looking for a way to give back, you can contribute by purchasing a gift card on your next trip to the shops and post to Amanda’s office (Reply Paid 771, Morphett Vale SA 5162 – no stamp required).
You may want to consider supporting locally-owned, small business. Your butcher, fruit and veg shop or local baker may sell gift cards which would be gratefully received.
Every little bit counts, so please don’t feel it needs to be a large amount. Amanda will be distributing the donations to local organisations that support local people in need.
The appeal will run until the end of July 2020.
