Volunteer Grants 2025-26

Thursday, 19 February 2026

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for the
2025-26 Volunteer Grants round!

The Volunteer Grants program recognises our governments commitment to making volunteering inclusive and accessible by providing grants between $1000 and $5000 to help local organisations support and strengthen their volunteer base.

There are two categories for Volunteer Grants which reflect areas of high demand for volunteer organisations:

  • Category 1: for funding to purchase communication or insurance items that benefit any of their volunteers. Examples include mobile phones, computers, software packages, electronic audio and visual equipment, internet service fees and insurance premiums.
  • Category 2: for items and services that support an organisation’s eligible volunteers or assist in the delivery of eligible volunteer-run activities as listed in the guidelines.

The Volunteer Grants are about backing our volunteers who give their time so generously and ensuring the organisations have the support they need to continue supporting our community

Before submitting your Expression of Interest, please read the Grant Guidelines thoroughly to see whether your group is eligible.
