Amanda is hosting a southern suburbs forum with Assistant Minister for Autism, Emily Bourke MLC, to seek feedback on the draft National Autism Strategy.

National Autism Strategy Forum
Friday May 24 3:30pm to 5pm
Seaford Ecumenical Centre
Grand Blvd, Seaford SA 5169

As the Minister for Social Services, Amanda wants Autistic Australians to have the best life outcomes and The National Autism Strategy will provide this, by building a more inclusive society.

The Strategy will be a whole-of-life plan for all Autistic Australians, spanning a number of key reform areas including healthcare, education, and employment.

It sets out to help guide the Government’s efforts to enhance the quality of life for the more than 205,000 Autistic people in Australia, who often experience lower life expectancy, particularly for those with a co-occurring medical condition. Many Australians who are on the Autism spectrum do not have a formal diagnosis.

The draft Strategy draws on key goals identified during consultation with the Autism sector, including boosting social and economic inclusion and strengthening supports and services, including for diagnosis.

The forum will allow you the chance to hear about the draft Autism Strategy and to provide your feedback which will inform the final strategy.

If you would like to attend the forum, please RSVP below.
