The Health Forum will be an opportunity to find out more about the investments in health our local area, discuss the Federal Government’s initiatives for primary health care, and put your views forward.

The Albanese Labor Government is committed to investing in primary health care and helping to ease the pressure on our hospital emergency departments.

Amanda is pleased to share that the Morphett Vale Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, funded by the Albanese Labor Government, is one of the most attended Medicare Urgent Care Clinics in South Australia. The clinic is fully bulk-billed, open seven days a week for extended hours and offers walk-in care.

Medicare Urgent Care Clinics deliver high quality, accessible health care for urgent, but not-life-threatening, health conditions. With over 250,000 visits to Medicare Urgent Care Clinics across the country since June 2023, it’s evident that our Government’s investments are having an impact.

Additionally, the Albanese Labor Government is delivering a $6.1 billion investment to strengthen Medicare. This includes tripling bulk billing incentives for GPs, making medicines cheaper, and introducing 60-day prescriptions.

Furthermore, the $400 million upgrade to Flinders Medical Centre, jointly funded by the State and Federal Governments, will significantly expand healthcare capacity and improve services for the community.

The Albanese Government is working to ensure every Australian is able to access quality healthcare when they need it.

To find out more about these initiatives and be part of the discussion on how we further strengthen primary health, please RSVP to confirm your attendance at the Health Forum below.

We look forward to discussing the Government’s commitment to improving health services with you on the day.

Should you be unable to join us, but wish to gain insight into a specific initiative, please do not hesitate to reach out to Amanda’s office by ph: 08 8186 2588 or email [email protected].
