Delivery of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan in full is vital to the health of our environment and economy.
Just two days after Barnaby Joyce became Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Nationals Party. The Nationals launched an attack on the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, putting our State’s water security at risk.
The Nationals moved a number of amendments in the Senate to try and blow up the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. Critically these amendments would have removed the commitment to see 450 gigalitres come to South Australia.
It is clear South Australians can not trust that the Morrison-Joyce Government will deliver the Murray-Darling Basin Plan in full.
