Residents of Hallett Cove, Trott Park, Sheidow Park have missed out on the benefits of the Southern Expressway and Darlington upgrade – greatly inconveniencing those who commute towards the CBD for work, school, and sport.
Amanda has campaigned alongside the community and her State Parliamentary colleagues to see this vital upgrade delivered.
This significant infrastructure project is being jointly funded by the Albanese Federal Labor Government and the Malinauskas State Labor Government and will see an entry and exit ramp to the Southern Expressway built at Majors Road.
The Department of Infrastructure and Transport has commenced consultation with the community and stakeholders and will continue to engage the community throughout the design process. Early advice is that the entry and exit ramp can be built within the existing road reserve.
