Scott Morrison is already cutting $450 million from our preschools and kindergartens from 2020, leaving more than 350,000 Australian children worse off.
Today, we learnt he’s got another $40 billion in secret cuts to come. How much more is he going to take from our kids’ futures?
The Liberals would rather cut funding to early education for 350,000 Australian children to give tax handouts to the top end of town.
In stark contrast, a Shorten Labor Government will deliver the biggest single investment into early education by providing ongoing, permanent funding to preschool for four-year-olds and, for the first time, will extend this to three-year-olds.
Under Labor, 700,000 Australian children will be better off.
If Scott Morrison is willing to cut the early education of Australian children to pay for his tax handouts to the top end of town, what else is he willing to cut from them?
The Liberals’ track record on early education is abysmal. Not only have they cut $450 million from Australian children, they want to risk the safety and quality of child care centres after they cut $20 million from the National Quality Framework.
This election is a choice between Labor’s plan to give kids the best start to life, or bigger tax loopholes for the top end of town under the Liberals.
After six years of Liberal cuts and chaos, our united Labor team is ready.
A Shorten Labor Government will deliver our children the best start to life.
