The LNP Candidate for Queensland wants the Liberals to cut kindy altogether.
The Liberals are cutting $450 million of funding every year from four year old kinder after 2020, and now they are attacking the credibility and benefits of early education for Australian children.
Comments made by the Liberal Candidate, Gerard Rennick, doubting the worth of early education confirm again that Scott Morrison and the Liberals want to cut kindy all together because they just don’t understand the value of it.
The Liberal Candidate claims that Labor’s National Preschool and Kindy Program is a ‘conspiracy to strengthen government control over child raising.’
The Liberals do not get it.
And we know they don’t get it because they have cut funding for 350,000 Australian children from next year.
Labor announced that we would make the single biggest investment in early education with our National Preschool and Kindy Program – providing ongoing, permanent funding to four year old kindy and extending this to include three year old kindy.
We did this because we know the value of early education and that this will give our children the best start to life. All the research tells us this is good for our economy and good for our children.
Labor’s policy will benefit 700,000 Australian children.
If his Liberal Candidate wants to cut kindy, what else will Scott Morrison cut from our children’s futures?
Not only has Scott Morrison cut kindy funding after 2020, the Liberals are now telling families they are walking away from kindy all together. This is more than $1,200 per child cut out of the pockets of each Australian family.
After six years of Liberal cuts and chaos, our united Labor team is ready.
A Shorten Labor Government will deliver our children the best start to life.
This election is a choice between Labor’s plans for access to preschool and kindy for every three and four year old, or bigger tax loopholes for the top end of town under the Liberals.
