Hypocritical government chasing families for debts

Monday, 04 October 2021

New figures show the Morrison-Joyce Government is pursuing Australian families for millions in Child Care Subsidy debts.

The Morrison-Joyce Government is chasing families for over $35 million in Child Care Subsidy debts for the 2019/20 financial year, including almost $14 million in Victoria alone.

The hypocrisy of the Morrison-Joyce Government is just astounding.

This is a government that is more than happy to pursue working families for debts while paying $13 billion to companies that didn’t need it but refuse to lift a finger about it.

Families across Australia are already doing it tough dealing with the pandemic and soaring child care fees.

It is for the Morrison-Joyce Government to explain why it is chasing hard working families down, while letting big business pocket taxpayers’ money they didn’t need.
