The beach and coastline at Port Stanvac belong to you!
O’Sullivan Beach is a beautiful, coastal suburb, but many locals have expressed their frustration that the Port Stanvac site has sat dormant and is of no benefit to the community.
As you may recall alongside the community Amanda and Katrine have been fighting for public access to the beach and coastline. The delay had largely been due to Exxon finishing their environmental report.
The report has now been handed in to the South Australian Government. The report states the beach and coastline are ready for recreational use with some minor works required to make it safer. Amanda and Katrine still have not had a response from the State Government when the beach and coastline will be handed back to the community.
It is now time for the South Australian Government to open the beach and coastline for public use.
Together, Amanda and Katrine need your help. We must make the State Government aware of the significant community support public access to the beach and coastline at Port Stanvac for recreational and community use.
Please join us at our upcoming community meeting about the future of the Port Stanvac site.
